February 10, 2008 will be 16th Annual Dinner with service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This annual all-you-can-eat dinner is served on a donation only basis for dine-in or carry-out and includes: salad, beverage, dessert, rolls, and, of course, spaghetti.
The Newport Sportsmen Club began the Annual Spaghetti Dinner in 1993 to support Wilson Hospice Care since many of their Club Member families have benefited from this service.
The Club pays for all the food and supplies. The members serve over 600 dinners in 150 minutes annually. Upwards of 50 members plan, cook over 100 gallons of spaghetti sauce that is placed on over 135 pounds of spaghetti, serve the meal, and cleanup after to ensure the annual event is a great success.
With the support diners and the donation of $1 per serving from the Country Concert at Hickory Hill Lake this event has raised nearly $80,000 to date.
Hospice representatives are always on hand to greet guests and answer questions about the Hospice programs.
