By way of introduction for those of you who do not know me, I am a Sidney native and was actually born at Wilson Memorial. I joined the Foundation in October 1997 as its first full-time Executive Director.
I guess the old saying, “Time flies when you’re having fun!” really is true because the last ten years have passed very quickly and have enjoyed all facets of this position.
For twenty years the foundation had no real presence in the community and only a part-time staff. Since late 1997, the Foundation Board of Trustees and I have worked very hard to increase the Wilson Memorial Hospital Foundation’s visibility within the community and, at the same time, make sure the foundation is accessible to our friends.
Now, please meet Deanna Kindell, Foundation Coordinator for the Wilson Memorial Hospital Foundation. Deanna came to the Foundation in December 2001 and is a very important and valuable asset to the organization. We are truly fortunate to have her on our team.
Deanna has outstanding organizational skills and is “Miss Special Event.” She coordinates the planning and details for the Golf Outing, Charity Ball, Friends of Wilson Reception and every other event that the Foundation holds. Keeping all of the details in order for these special events is no small feat. Beyond that, she has a real talent when it comes to her computer. She can make it do just about anything asked of her and then some!
